Kids love stories.

 

No matter if it’s a bedtime story as you tuck the little ones into bed, or something to grab their rambunctious attention during a long car trip, stories are amazing for kids. They can help teach a lesson or moral, or just be silly and entertain. Every child loves a good story that's well told.

 

Oftentimes as an adult telling the story it can be challenging. A lot of kids also want to "Mary Sue" themselves into the story. Keeping their attention while conforming to everything they want from the story, as well as conveying a message or life lesson, can be difficult. Granted, not every story needs to hammer home a message, but it's always good to know where you're going.

 

Or, if your child is an avid reader, the gift of new stories that are tailored to their interests is the best way to light up their eyes.
